From humble beginnings making wooden clothes pegs in early 1946, Robert James Henry (Jim) and Isabell Ellen Large quickly became Rockhampton’s leading furniture manufacturers. Broadening their business scope to cabinet making within a few short months they were commissioned for their first bedroom suite in July 1946.

Enlisting family members and continuing Jim’s vision, the company quickly grew, and by 1970 saw three generations of Larges, dedicated to producing high quality, handcrafted furniture items for the community of Central Queensland.
